Statia now has 2 Internationally Certified Athletic Coaches

The President of the Statia Sport Federation Mr. Elvin Henriquez informed us that after attending a course during the period of October 2nd- 11th, St.Eustatius has two internationally certified Athletic Coaches in Mr. Gene Herbert and Ms. Asha Robins.

Both coaches returned Monday midday from the  island of Curacao where they attended the 10 day course along with coaches from St. Maarten, Saba and Curacao.

Mr. Elvin Henriquez continued to say that they are very happy and grateful to both the Antillean Athletic Federation and the Netherlands Antilles Olympic Committee (NAOC) for extending an invitation to us making it possible for our candidates, now official coaches, to get certified.

This achievement is very much in line with the Federation’s Coaches Upgrading Program, in preparation for the upcoming Dutch Caribbean School Games and Kingdom Games amongst other opportunities that may present themselves.
