On Saturday 5th of September our Olympic Committee announced the support towards 13 Young athletes. These athletes represent 6 different sport disciplines.

The goal of this program is to qualify directly for the first Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which will be organized next year in Singapore (14-26 August 2010).

The selected athletes will receive medical, technical and mental guidance from different local experts. The costs towards the different international qualification competitions will also be covered within this program.

The investment in the youth sums about $140,000, where 50% is being subsidized by Olympic Solidarity. Seeing the importance of the program, NAOC got the local Olympic partners CUROIL and UTS to cover the other half.

All the athletes (and their guardians) signed individual agreements.
